Being a Cub

At 1st Emsworth we run two exciting Cub packs to support young people aged 8 to 101/2 years of age:

• The Livingstone Pack meets on a Tuesday in term-time from 19:00 - 20:20.
• The Drake Cub Pack meets on a Thursday in term-time from 19:00 - 20:20.

Our Cub Scouts further develop their skills in leadership, outdoor skills, team activities and adventurous play as well as playing a key role in community events.

Our Cub Pack nights are focused on achieving the seven Cub Scout Challenge Awards alongside a minimum of 4 activity badges. so that all Cubs have the opportunity to achieve and receive the Chief Scout’s Silver Award - the top accolade for Cub Scouts to wear on both their Cub uniform and Scout uniform should they move up.

Each year the packs come together to offer a variety of outdoor adventure activities that typically include a local camp as well as participation in district camps and fun days. This allows for the further development of key skills, enabling the awarding of key parts of the challenge badges.
